Rather witty roundtable trio who focuses on defending or putting some pop culture entity on trial while finding amusing facts about the many batches of material they're tackling.

This is a fun podcast to listen to! It always makes me smile.

As someone who's a big movie fan I really loved this podcast! Their ep on the 5th element was a blast (especially as a fan of that movie). The hosts really know their stuff and it's well produced to boot!

I am a fan of long, drawn-out, painstakingly in-depth talks about movies, so Shocked & Applaud is right up my alley! Big fun to be had in each episode and I am on board with any podcast that talks about the underrated classic Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!

Such a fun series, with engaging hosts and no shortage of enlightening and hilarious discussions. I'm pretty selective with my podcasts, but once I heard the "Brave Little Toaster" episode, I knew this show would have a permanent place on my playlist.

Absolutely fantastic podcast! I have listened to a few episodes now and love the banter and fun that they have in each episode. They really go into depth in each episode and make you want to go back and watch with their observations in mind. Also makes me want to watch the films that I haven't got around to yet. If you haven't started listening then what are you waiting for?! Subscribed and loving it.

Absolutely love how these amazing women are effortlessly engaging in their plot by plot analysis of some of my favorite movies! They are witty and clever and hilarious and I love how goofy they can be. I literally can't stop gushing about how refreshing it is to hear female voices. Can't wait to keep listening! 😍

Applause for this podcast!

The production quality behind this podcast is top notch. The hosts have great insights and intelligent conversations about these movies and also bring hilarious banter to each episode. I started with their Night of the Living Dead series and it made me love the film more as a zombie fan myself. I will definitely be binging everything else they have and anything else to come! Subbed!

Good take on classic cinema

Such a wonderful podcast that really (really!) dives in depth into film, with enthusiasm that is easy to feel. The banter between the three hosts brings a level of excitement and humor to the analysis, going into the specific plot beats and discussing that at length. However instead of being overly critical, they are enthusiastic. My first episode of theirs was their discussion on Night of the Living Dead (which has yet to conclude). Here I was presented with an excellent discussion on the circumstances around the production of the film and how they themselves appreciate the film on its own merits, reflecting upon their own experiences - recalling a humorous story about how a group of Church kids weren't thrilled with it. This level of energy and fun is present throughout the entire series: a three parter! I feel like I have gotten my fill of a film I haven't seen for years. Highly recommend!

Great podcast

What a great podcast to listen too especially if you are a movie buff. Enjoyed the “Night of the living dead”. The hosts are great and entertaining and the show has a great flow to it. Keep up the great work.

Arthouse meets Mega Production Land

Started off with their Dinner for Schmucks even though I haven't seen it but glad this podcast was the one to break me in. Lots of delightful and tasty banter. Look forward to checking out more episodes. Subscribe and listen now!
